Do not waste your money or your health...truly gross.
I run an internet business for immunity and was given this as a gift from my children...I hate they spent the money on this trash.
Seriously..would you want lamb and mint chips and hard as a rock toffee and tasteless overly salty treats
Wow...what a rip off.
My husband says so far from the Philippines and England..only one item in each box edible...and he's right
Please I pray my last box is not Italy..my heritage...I don't want my heritage regarding our great confections destroyed

Love it but I wish there was a way to review/rate the snacks online. Also, the website is just very....bare minimum with very little interactivity.

I’ve used these for 3 different people on 4 different occasions.
Love it, as did they.
I only had 1 issue and when I tracked the parcel it was static. They replaced with no issue at all.
Will use the company again and and again
I ordered the yearly subscription with an immediate delivery of the current month box. It was sent out on time. However, the postal service misrouted it and it was delayed. Ok things like that happen. The postal service had not updated their site for nearly 3 days. I placed request to Universal yum and got a response the next day. "Great"! Fast forward to this month. The website says the boxes get shipped out on the 15th of each month and you will receive an email. As of today neither has happened.
I would have given a higher rating if this company would had sent out notices that deliveries are delayed. Instead from what am reading," buyer beware". I don't want to turn so quickly on great concept, but I recommended this to a few friends that I am now making the effort to warn them. I will follow up with a review every month to share my experience either good or bad.
This is one of my favorite subscriptions. The snacks are high quality and we’ve never had an issue with our boxes. I love it!
We have loved our boxes. They come every month. Our favorites have been Ukraine, Russia, and Italy. It was a great Covid additive and excitement.
I wanted to give Universal Yums a chance, I wanted to think the best of them but they’ve really turned me completely off of them as a company.
First, I ordered the largest box as a gift to try out. I ordered it in January. (Within the first or second week) My order was due to be shipped January 29th. I received an email that it would be delayed to February 5th at the latest.
February 8th comes around and I still haven’t received my package or even heard of anything of it being shipped. I check on the website, and it says to be shipped on February 3rd.
I contact customer service but it says at least 5 day wait time. Someone suggests using their social media as they’re better about responses.
I contact them on Instagram and Facebook and receive a reply the next day. My order will be shipped out on tomorrow! February 9th! I get excited, thank them for responding.
February 9th goes by and the order is not shipped or touched at all and I don’t even receive an email from them.
I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it just feels like a company that has no concern for their customers.
Do yourself a favor and just skip it. I’ll probably try a different box in the future once I have the free cash to put towards it again.
I try a lot of different foods, and I always look forward to my Universal Yums box for all the weird and wonderful foods my tongue and tummy get to try!
Based on the initial holiday box, I would give the company 5 stars. But I have been waiting for the next box to come with multiple different shipping dates and it has yet to arrive. Good luck with customer service. They only deal in emails that never get responded to. Don't waste your money.
UPDATED!!!I used to love universal yums. However lately their customer service has gone down hill. I was guaranteed a shipment date because I’m moving but then the shipping date got pushed back and I won’t even be living in my location anymore. I recommend snack crate to anyone looking for something like this. It is more reliable and accommodating. So after waiting and waiting I thought forget it and ordered through snack crate.. I got my snacks 3 days later! The I get an email from universal Yuma that my shipment got delayed again! This happened two more times and I finally just cancelled my order through universal yums.
The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced with any company. It took over two weeks to get an email response. They don’t provide a phone number. I have asked for a full refund for the 6 months I paid because I have yet to receive a box and realize based on their lack of customer service I don’t want to deal with them for 6 months. Still waiting for a response.
After discovering UniversalYums, I've given it as gifts, the first for a new college student (BIG HIT!) and the to young people for both a fun way to taste new foods AND to learn about new cultures .. oh and to share w/ the adults in their lives! The gifts have been .. universally loved. I ordered a 6-month gift for family friends w/ a new baby for the two older children and the parents. The mom is a nurse and well you know! I didn't know they'd moved! New baby, pandemic, work .... When I realized that I'd not heard (and they are 'thank you' people) I learned about the move. I contacted UY immediately. WOW .. really WOW! Not only did they respond quickly (and you know what time of year it is!) they are sending the two already sent boxes again to the right address. It is FAR more than I expected. And the people at UY were so nice and even, when I offered to write a review, they said "only if you have time." Seriously!? The products are great fun. People amazing. Service beyond compare. And receiving a gift that's new and different is THE best. Yes, I'll continue to give as gifts and hope you do. In a global society, learning and tasting = understanding. Let's all strive for it.
I bought Yums to teach my munchkins a bit of geography and global awareness and they are loving the Yums and we love the fun quizzes in the booklets. The random facts are amazing. I have made a few requests to their service department and they are always quick to respond, even with all of this Covid craziness.
Universal Yums is a good alternative to actual traveling during this year of the pandemic. Each month you receive a treat box from another country. The boxes are well thought out and the tastes unique to the country being highlighted. Customer service is wonderful when questions arise. I am receiving a box as well as gifting three friends this 'travel experience' including one in Australia.
